Horray!!!

I finally finished all my behind scrapbooking projects :) I am so happy!!
I was supposed to finish them on december (I KNOW!!) but the miscarriage took my mood away.
Also happy because my body decided to work after a long 71 day cycle.
Is a good day!

No drama here... is just the only black and white picture I have available on my laptop, and now that I really look at it is not even black and white is actually sepia, sigh!

But I am to lazy to get a different one, and this picture I treasure a lot, it was taken when I was 17 years old.

Crismairys Photo Op

In Los Cacaos you could count with one hand the amount of people that own a camera :/ So Crismairy's mom asked me to take some pics of her, of course I agreed, after all the girl already got me wrapped around her tiny hand!

I am not an expert photographer, most of my pics are plain regular, but she was happy with the end result :) We took pics in different outfits until we where sure the baby will need a psychiatrist when she grows up!

FFF- Easter Memories

Besides Easter being a time to be grateful because Jesus died for our sins, here in the Dominican Republic is also a week full of traditions and a time to take tons of pics and create great memories!

People like to go on vacation that weekend.

I remember when I was little that we always went to a beach resort.

And as I got older and married we still do the same.

Whenever we can we go to the beach...Or the river.

Or have family and friends over for a big dinner.

Last year I decided to bake some Easter cupcakes to start a tradition.

But no Easter is complete without Habichuelas Con Dulce (Sweet Beans) the Dominican Easter dessert (trust me this taste nothing like beans and it is really good; recipe here), every house you go to they will offer you that and this year I didnt even made any because we received like 15 different jars from neighbors and patients here in Los Cacaos.

Recap

Last week was Easter (we call it Holy Week) and Los Cacaos was full of people vacationing, usually people travel to places were there are rivers or beaches here in DR.

This means that I got to work A LOT, I've never been so tired in my life, I hardly gotten any sleep in the last week and a half because EVERY single night there was an emergency.
I love working in Los Cacaos but I am glad I am back home and get to sleep a little :)



Also last week I was asked by one of my patients in Los Cacaos to be her daughter's Godmother, at first I wasnt sure, I've always said that I dont want to have a tons of Godsons and Goddaughters because I believe that being a Godmother is a special thing, but then i figured 3 or 4 is a good number, so I still have two spaces available for any special friend or sister! And this patient and I have become friends and I followed her pregnancy completly (I was the one that ordered her pregnancy test and did several of her ultrasounds) and now I'm attached to Los Cacaos when I leave :)
Here is the sweet girl!!! She got introduced in her church last wednesday.
Now I'm the Godmother of two of the sweetest babies ever!!

My sister and my brother got married, not that my family is full of freaks that get married between each other and not that I have a sister and a brother that got married on the same day... Just that my only sister and my (thanks to her) acquired brother are now married :) PLEASE NOTE that I dont consider him a brother in law, he is just my brother, period, and now we'll never be able to get married (inside joke).
