again... in love

I took a couple of pics of my sweet godson, I was so sad that they were going to cut his hair, but he looks so cute!!! This little boy steals my heart!

I'm in Puerto Rico, just came here for a couple of days for issues related with the doctors that are going in april and bringing tons of equipment and medicine, yay!
Anyways I am staying at Fonsy's mom house (Bayo's aunt) and found this cute picture of Bayo and his cousins (Fonsy -Gabby's mom- is the wonder woman in the middle- and next to her is Bayo's other cousin and Fonsy's brother) Here is why I took a picture of a picture, aint my boy cute (he is the one in the left) and I though this picture of him was so sweet, my sweet boy hasnt changed much :)

And compare Fonsy and Gabby's pics they look so much alike!

Losing the curls...

Do you remember my Godson beautiful curls? Sweet little chunky had the most beautiful golden curls, and now they are gone :o they took him for his first ever haircut...

He also got to try his first Lollypop :) But the little guy was not crazy about what was going on!

Here is the final result, baby chunky now looks more like little boy chunky!

And Oh My! this Nina felt in love with him all over again, he is just more gorgeous than ever, and yes I am biased :)

FFF- Favorite animal

There is only one little guy that will be forever in my heart! His name is Harrison Hopkins :)
I had to give him away (reason here), but he will always be my favorite furbaby!

Help my neighbour...

I hardly felt the earthquake, I though I was getting dizzy, and then I felt the bed shaking and just said "ohhh the earth is moving!", and that was it, I went back to do the things I was doing... an hour later my sister called me and asked if we were fine, of course we are why on earth wouldnt we?, she started telling me how Haiti was destroyed.
It's still hard to belive so much happened so close... And even then I didnt understand just how bad it was, and now the news, the horrible painful images...

Dominicans are getting together to help their neighbours, all differences aside, together to bring relief and that makes me feel better; even at Los Cacaos we formed a little group to gather things to send them to Haiti, even people that sometimes have nothing to eat or to wear, got together and send cans and old blankets, anything they could do to help... HELP OUR NEIGHBOUR!

So I am asking you to also help my neighbour, I cant point you to a particular charity because the ones I know are here, but there are tons out there in the internet, just make sure you pick one that wont be a scam, one from famous organizations like:

American Red Cross

CARE

UNICEF

Yele Haiti

Doctors without borders

Compassion International
Hope for Haiti

So many children are now orphans and it breaks my heart, there is not much I alone cant do to help my neighbour, but you can also help me by helping me spread the word, my neighbour and I will be forever thankful!

3 Kings Day

Here in DR we celebrate 3 Kings Day, so Bayo and I bought a few toys for some kids in Los Cacaos, since they the kids from the higher part of the mountain have even less chance to get anything, we decided to go there...


We were just able to get a couple of toys, dolls and balls, but this kids never get new toys so they were really happy with just that!See what I told you about the shoes! Just a couple of them had shoes on and they were old about to break ones!Bayohan was the one handing them out, I was behind the camera :) He really enjoys doing this kind of things and is working on some big projects to get tons of help for Los Cacaos.

We have already receive confirmation from the peace corp in the USA, they are sending doctors and equipment for the hospital in february :) and also some donations from some doctors in Puerto Rico in April, they are bringing toys, clothes and medicines.

I am planing on creating a organism to be able to recieve donations from anyone, I will let you all know on that!

2010

We spend New Years Eve at Los Cacaos, but now we are back to the city until monday :)
Last night we had a really good time there, but we felt like being around family, that's why we came.
I really hope this new years brings a lot of blessing for my small family, as you know the end of last year was not so great, but I am looking forward to this brand new year.
Resolutions? well, beside the clasic (loosing weight), I want to do something for the kids at Los Cacaos, I am looking for a way to do it, this kids need the basic, clothes, SHOES (most of them are shoeless) and of course what kid doesnt need a couple of toys, I am planning on asking for donations from big companies here or any used things I can get people to donate.
It's not much but they'll really apreciate anything, I will let you know how that goes...
