Back home - Friday Recipe

I haven’t been on much, because we just got back from taking our Step2 Clinical Skills test in Atlanta.
I am also working on doing something different with the blog, besides telling our journey I will like to post either a weekly recipe or picture of some recipe; one of the things I love the most is cooking :D hope you enjoy it and feel free to leave a comment about it. I will be doing this every Friday or early Saturday (because I log on sometimes Friday midnight and it becomes Saturday without me noticing), some will be my creation, others just the ones I have in cooking books, find on the internet or shared by my sis and friends.
Here is a Cake my sis did a while ago, I find it absolutely beautiful and creative so it definitely deserves my first Friday Recipe post.This is the batter separated and dyed with the different food colors

Adventures at the Mall

Today was adventure day at the mall, LOL, silly us!!! We went to meet Dr. Rey from Dr. 90210 (the reality in E! entertainment television); not that I love the show or anything, but why miss the opportunity to meet a celebrity in your local mall.
Bayo didn’t come because he was sick, so off we went, Fonsy, Gabby and I to Sears at the intimate apparel department, we had to buy some of his new underwear to get to the VIP line, and once we were there: Ohhhh the joys of being with a cute newborn worked like a charmed he hold the baby and talked to us a lot, he looked like a really nice person, just a fun, silly adventure and I have the pictures to prove it :D

I know I said I wasnt going to post pics of me until I lost a couple of pounds but this was worth it!!!!

Sick

I’m finally well enough to get out of bed, let me tell you I’ve been really sick the past couple of days (crazy high fevers, chills, diarrhea and malaise, but the worst was the abdominal cramps O.o); I couldn’t even get out of bed or walk!!! It was horrible… and poor Bayo was taking care of me, but you could see he was miserable and so neglected (I know nobody spoils him like I do). I still have the “stomach flu” –this is more like a tummy revolution, but I am feeling way better, thank to the help of some really powerful med (that taste as powerfully bad as it sounds) and sweet Bayo that has been like an angel ;)

Anyways before I got sick I uploaded a video of my dog Harrison, he no longer lives with me, but I know someone that reads the blog is going to enjoy it :D

Righteous Kill

You should definitely see that movie it is way beyond good, at least in my opinion… I am not good at describing it because I usually end up telling you the whole thing and is not like I know nothing about movies or movie critics, but Bayo and I really enjoyed it!!!
Just in case to let you know what type of movies we like; Bayo loves anything, everything mafia related (Scarface, The Godfather etc), he also likes The English patient and The piano man, and also some foreign –spanish- movies; I also like the same types of movies, but my favorite ones are: Don Juan de Marcos, La vita e Bella, Il postino and all serial killers ones –the Hannibal type :p
I know weird mixture but anyways I love Al Pacino and Robert de Niro so what is not to like if this two are together :D

Updates on everything!!

We have been studying real hard for the next test, it is way much better than Step 1 because we get to do it together and is much more interactive :D

The last few days have been filled with laughter and cries, we often feel like our journey is so long and we cant wait to finally settle in, live here in PR at our own place, start a family, start our residency programs and for the testing/studying for tests days to be over; but it is those days that make us grow stronger as a couple and closer to God, He always seems to find a way to lets us know He is with us and hasn’t abandoned us, and we are grateful for that and for all!!

Bayohán says this is the best song that explains how he feels about me and I love it, I love how it is so simple, HONEST and beautiful. I really enjoy hearing it every night and it is more perfect every time I play it or read it…
It is from Charles Aznavour, we both love his songs and enjoyed listening to them together before we were even dating, but I never heard that particular song until he played it for me short after we got married, so it is even more special because it brings a lot of different memories ;)

We took our Step 1 -Bayo today and I took it on saturday- we are praying that this went well so we can move on to the next step (literally), please pray with us :D
Now we have to start for the one next month (the clinical skills) that one is with actors faking diseases... we'll keep you updated in that and when we get our grades.
