Liam's Nursery

A little picture overload :) I'm in love with his room, just what I wanted, no real theme or cartoon and not to babyish and neutral!

Almost everything is from Ikea and random things I ordered online (like the bedding).

This will be where he'll sleep in our room at first, his bassinet on his playyard.

Meet my sweet boy Liam, he is the yummiest baby ever (ok, I am biased, and I bet you think your boy is, but he sure is yummy!!). I will spend my days kissing those cheeks...

and eating those feets :)

I finally have pictures of my home pregnancy test (I went Fonsy's and got them), I really want to save this for scrapbook, see the really faded line?

Gabby was happy to know he'll be getting a cousin soon :)

Progesterone

My doctor said that she wanted to see my levels and I just got them today, they are 13.05, wish is normal for 3 weeks, but she said that since she wants to be extra cautious (wish I dont mind, that is what I love about my Dr.) I will be on progesterone shot once a week until 12 weeks.
I had to do the shot myself (Bayo is at Los Cacaos) and that was no fun, but I will do anything to keep everything save :)

Story

I really want to remember and share how we found out so here it goes...
If you read my blog you know that this last month my follies were really small, but my doctor said keep trying the natural way cause you never know :/
October 31th I saw some blood and though it was my period coming, so I knew I had to take my Clomid on day 5, but the spoting stoped that day so I was unsure what to do.
Last night (I'm back home) I took a home pregnancy test and waited 5 mins to read it and it was negative, I went to the bedroom and kept asking Bayohan why I couldnt get pregnant and how frustrated I was, went back to the bathroom about 10 mins later and there was a really faded pink line :0 Of course I went online and read a lot of people saying that if it is pass the time in the box it means you are not :/
Still we decided to do a blood test today and it came ou positive :) Bayo was so happy that he cryed, I was in shock!!
We are really happy and thankful for all the prayers... Please keep praying because we know it is still to soon, but we couldnt help to share the news and get excited!

My siste bought me this cute baby booties (not the ones in the pic, remember I dont have a camera, mines are cream and red) when she found out we were TTC.

I've kept them in a drawer and everytime I am home I look at them because they give me hope and are the prettiest thing in the world!

In July 2010 this will belong to a very special someone: OUR BABY!!!

We are happy to say that we are pregnant and I know you are not suppose to say until 10-12 weeks (we are only 2-3 weeks) but I am to happy not to share :)

Irony

After being 1 week late and spending money on a negative pregnancy test, I get my period that same afternoon, if it would have came in the morning no needles would have entered my veins or money would have left my pocket :P ohhh the irony of life!

Gabby is here!!

Remember my Godson Gabby?

He is here in DR and is here to stay, YAY!!!!

So now I get to share my house with this cutie; we share the house with his parents and they were in PR for his birth and came to finish school.

Harrison Hopkins

Harrison Hopkins is and will always be my first baby, for those who dont know Harrison is my Pomeranian dog :)

One of the hardest decision I had to make was to let him go, but as a mother I couldnt see him suffer anymore :(

After I got married and moved, my mother couldn't keep him anymore, here, where I live there are 9 other dogs and he was clearly unhappy -he is used to be a house dog, he hates the backyard and hates not being the center of attention- I decided to give him to a family friend that lives alone.

Well today when I saw him (I always go visit) I couldn't be happier to see that I made the right choice, he is so well taken care off and so happy!! He even has his own room and is treated like the king he will always be!

His new owner called him: "Harry come and see who came to visit you, your mommy"; he was so happy and excited, but when it was time to go he was ok with that too...

I love you Mi pollito with all my heart and I will always be your Mommy!

My heart is broken for Adrienne, Jim and Owen. This are the moments where I ask myself why does God allows this to happen; I do understand how hard it most be for the birthmother, but I'm deeply sad to think about her...

I made this for her little girl and was so excited to send them...

I will be sending the last one that I did for Owen.

Please keep them in your prayers, is a hard time for them as they face the lost of their daughter.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE

That is the question...
Since I got sick I had to stop drinking my OCP (aka The Pill) because I was drinking Metronidazole and it interfered with it, anyways to get to the point, we are still not trying to conceive, but I was a little scared and did a home pregnancy test (I hate peeing in a stick by the way), while waiting to see the results I was praying for it to be negative, don’t get me wrong, I love babies and want to start trying like I said after we get some things together in our life (next year) so the difference is not that big, still I was praying for only one line; 5 minutes later I checked on the thing and it was negative and guess who started crying like an idiot: ME… why??? Because like I said deep down inside I do want it!!!
So I’m back on my pill, I’ll let you all know when the real thing happens.

Updates on everything!!

We have been studying real hard for the next test, it is way much better than Step 1 because we get to do it together and is much more interactive :D

The last few days have been filled with laughter and cries, we often feel like our journey is so long and we cant wait to finally settle in, live here in PR at our own place, start a family, start our residency programs and for the testing/studying for tests days to be over; but it is those days that make us grow stronger as a couple and closer to God, He always seems to find a way to lets us know He is with us and hasn’t abandoned us, and we are grateful for that and for all!!
